sure are a bunch of [un?]related areas referred to as cybernetics, systems science, etc... at times I may be guilty of neglecting the management / psychology angle... for the purposes of this website, focusing on physical and life sciences mostly. there's plenty of overlap but enough about that. I expect the use of the words cybernetics and systems will gradually expand to cover everything imaginable, like what's happened w/ the words proteomics or nanotechnology ... :P

the adventures of the lab monkey that escaped and caused a backlash against the proposed biowarfare research center near Davis, CA... pretty funny s#!t, they heard a 'slurping' noise when it went behind some appliance... then it was gone so they figured it went down a drain...! the ironic thing: like many other lab animals, it was actually healthier than most people's pets...
